LITTLEMOTIVATOR TIMELINE
Day 1–September 15, 2010: Procrastinating away in the study lounge of Serc A, an on-campus apartment building, I was reading a letter written by my parents to me of what I meant to them. Fairly new to Twitter, it inspired me to use my own platform, positive attitude mixed with a physical disability, I created the account @littlemotivator. This account that began as a time consumer has now turned into my baby, in which I love and treat passionately. This is how the journey started, there is no telling when it will end. Here is the first tweet from the account:
Day 2–September 17, 2010: Only 10 followers…
Day 154–February 21, 2011: Published my first blog post on WordPress “Stepping Up to the Mic”
Day 608– May 08, 2012: I asked one of my best friend’s to join my movement. Kayla Arguin has been a big reason why I spoke 10 days ago. Hyper-linked is the post she wrote after I asked her to be apart of my journey. I can’t thank her enough for all she’s done.
Day 609–May 09, 2012: Published “The Three Ships” in memory of Dan Duval, my inspiration. He’s the reason I found my voice, he’s the reason I wanted to one day speak.
Day 777–November 5, 2012: Launced “LittleMotivator” on Instagram,
Day 825–December 23, 2012: Our “LittleMotivator” Greater Than Sports pullovers arrived.
Day 881– February 18, 2013: Chose “LittleMotivator” as my final project topic. Instructions: Create a “social movement”.
Day 933– April 09, 2013: Received a call about possibly being interested in speaking to 6th graders at Hillside Middle School in Manchester, NH within the next week or two.
Day 942–April 18. 2013: THE DAY THAT CHANGED MY LIFE–the speech given at Hillside Middle School for the 6th grade class.
Day 946–April 22, 2013: Launched a Facebook page for “LittleMotivator” to reach a wider audience and share more videos and images aimed to inspire.
I UNDERSTAND THAT STILL, ON DAY 952, I NEED A LOT OF PRACTICE TO BE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO SATISFIED. BUT THIS PROJECT HAS MY HEART AND WHEN A HOBBY HAS MY HEART THERE ARE NO DEADLINES, LIMITATIONS OR OBSTACLES THAT CAN PREVENT ME FROM ACHIEVING TOTAL HAPPINESS.
